Jessica Williamson, NCIDQ

owner + principal designer

I’m Jessica Williamson, founder of JTW Design. My passion for interior design goes all the way back to fourth grade when I made up my mind (with some encouragement from my father) to be an interior designer. From then on, it was my goal, which I turned into a reality with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. After college I spent 10 years working alongside many of the world’s top commercial designers and architects at Gensler in Washington, DC. As much as I loved and valued this experience, I realized my true passion was always in the more intimate spaces where scale, materials, light and personal connections were most important. I knew it was time to start my own design studio where I could combine my passion for residential design while also having an opportunity to continue my work in commercial design.

At JTW Design, I work with each client to express their personality and preferences with unique designs. The thread that connects each project is a combination of clean, modern elements that are classic rather than trendy. My experience in commercial interiors has provided me with a critical eye for organized spaces and attention to detail. My intention is to create spaces my clients will enjoy for many years to come. Design is not just something I do - it’s who I am, and I can’t wait to share that passion with you!

Kristen Cary

lead designer

From an early age, Kristen admired the process of turning a building shell into a space that people can experience, be motivated by, or simply thrive in. She attended Meredith College obtaining a BS in Interior Design and started her career working at an interior design and architecture firm located in Richmond, Virginia. She focused on luxury hospitality design for 5 years throughout the US and Jamaica for large hotel chains and boutique hotels. Designing guest-rooms, meeting spaces, lobbies and restaurants have provided Kristen with a wide range of design knowledge and an appreciation of design detailing. She then shifted her focus to luxury residential design where she could utilize her hospitality experience to design homes with attention to detail and personalization. The challenge of listening to a client's needs and desires and then turning them into reality is Kristen's forte. She thrives on developing drawings and detailed plans that accurately depict the end goal for clients to visualize and contractors to implement.

Emily Seifert, NCIDQ

Interior designer

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Virginia Tech, Emily began her career in Washington DC focusing on hospitality and multi-family design. With seven years of experience designing public spaces, Emily chose to enter the residential design industry where she could provide even more intimate and meaningful connections between client and space. She brings a detailed eye for design and a rich love of color to our studio.

Savannah Mullin

Junior interior designer

Having grown up within the commercial construction industry, Savannah learned from an early age the importance of proper project coordination. A recent graduate from Virginia Tech, having obtained her bachelor’s degree in interior design, she joined our studio with a strong knowledge of conceptual design, selections, construction drawings and the built environment.

Mark Williamson

Director of Operations & Accounting

Behind the scenes, Mark drives our operation and accounting processes. As a certified business coach, consultant and former vice president for a large consumer products manufacturer, Mark allows JTW to efficiently and effectively serve our customers. With a BS and MS in Engineering as well as an MBA, he is uniquely qualified to balance design concepts with business acumen. When not tweaking processes, updating inventory or reconciling accounts, Mark co-teaches (alongside Jessica) the business aspects of Interior Design to third year students at Virginia Tech.

Ashley Dostie

 Procurement SpecialisT

Ashley’s background in retail combined with a degree in Business Management and Interior Design certificate from New York Institute of Art + Design are the perfect combination of skills to help our projects run smoothly. Procurement is a huge part of the design process, and Ashley has honed it to an art while ensuring products are delivered on time, in budget and in perfect condition.

Ashley has spent over 600 hours volunteering for the Navy Marine Corp Relief Society, where she was able to work closely with families dealing with unexpected expenses and challenges. In addition to the value it brought to our military families and servicemembers, the experience has also given her the unique ability to navigate complex processes with positive outcomes while advocating for her clients at every step. It’s no exaggeration to say that customer service is truly her passion.

“Jessica is nothing short of spectacular. She spent time understanding my taste/style and made suggestions that incorporated them in a very current way.”
